Our School
Established In 2014 \ Iraq – Baghdad, GUS Is An IB Authorized School With The Number 052351 The Instruction Language Is English Our Curriculum Includes Languages, Maths, Science, PHE, Music, Arts In Additional With The Arabic And Islamic, All Are Been Taught During A Transdisciplinary Theme The School Follows The International Assessments . The School Is Exempt From The Iraqi Ministry Of Education Exams
The IB Offers Three High Educational Quality Programs To The Students From 3 To 19 Years. PYP Includes (Gr1, Gr2, Gr3, Gr4, Gr5) MYP Includes (Gr6, Gr7, Gr8, Gr9, Gr10, Gr11) DP Includes (Gr11, Gr12) .
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a globally recognized educational program that offers high-quality learning to students from ages 3 to 19. The IB provides three distinct programs: the Primary Years Program (PYP), the Middle Years Program (MYP), and the Diploma Program (DP). The PYP includes students in Grades 1 through 5, the MYP includes Grades 6 through 11, and the DP includes Grades 11 and 12.
Our school is recognized and approved by the Iraqi Ministry of Education, ensuring that our students are well-prepared for acceptance into universities both in Iraq and around the world. Our grades can be easily transferred to the Iraqi grading scale, providing a smooth transition for students who may transfer to other schools within the country.

Our international administration is led by Mr. Michael Hawkins, our Head of School, and all of our international staff are well-trained and supervised by the IBO. We prioritize communication with parents and students and make our lessons easily accessible through the Google Classroom and SeaSaw App.
We take the safety and well-being of our students seriously and have a dedicated team of qualified service and security staff. Additionally, we have a Health Supervisor who monitors and cares for our students' health needs and can handle emergencies as they arise.
At our school, we understand the importance of addressing the social and emotional needs of our students. That's why we have a team of Psychotherapists who work closely with students to support them in their mental and emotional development.
In summary, our school offers a top-quality education under the guidance of the IB curriculum, recognized both nationally and internationally. We prioritize the safety, well-being, and mental health of our students, and provide a supportive learning environment for students of all ages.

The school was established in 2014 within a unique vision in Baghdad, based on the principle of tolerance and understanding adopted by the International Baccalaureate in regards of the current humanitarian situation in Iraq.
